Pretty Ladies Of Bollywood...

Three very different looks, three beautiful women and three dimensions of dressing up. All done well, May I say.

Katrina went dressing down and casual in a floral wrap/cross bust dress which she paired with flats, and minimal make up.

Twinkle Khanna was channelling dressed up in a print dress which she paired with some serious arm candy and a statement necklace.

Suzzane Roshan was flawless in a dressy, minimal navy full skirted dress and black peep toe pumps.

OH NO! SHE DIDNT!!!

Madonna at her Oscar after party. In a dress (?) that looks like an outfit made from leftovers from a wardrobe trunk!

Even being Madonna couldn't save this look!

Update: My bad. What i thought was a dress in fact was a black body suit with lace overlay and a faux fur vest. Seriously?!

Belle Of The Ball....Nicole Richie.

Nicole Richie is STUNNING in this white cutout gown, and my first reaction was, how Fab does she look?

Pristine white figure hugging dress, she kept the rest of the look simple; updo with side swept bangs, flawless make up and minimal jewellery. The best accessory?
The red lips. Instant Love!

HIPPIE CHIC!!!

YAY - Ever since Spring Summer shows predicted back to 70s trend, I've been super excited.

And then, there was Drew Barrymore making a stunning debut of bringing back the  official 70s vibe in this Chanel maxi dress, studded jacket and cuffs. She kept her hair in line with the rest of the look, full bodied and wavy.

SHEER LOVE.

Having said that, I'm dying to see what the dress looked like on her minus the jacket.

COLOR FEVER!!

Spring is almost here, and I'm so excited to see splashes of color on celebs that  it appears can't wait for the season to get here either.

Clemence Posey attended Mulberry Autumn 2011 show at London Fashion week. She wore a yellow dress  with  pleats with a waist defining brown belt and black tights. Love the styling!

BOLLYWOOD BLING - The good and The bad!

Madhuri Dixit and Sonakshi Sinha appeared on the bollywood talk show Koffee with Karan this week.

One to always appear in Indian designs, it was no surprise that Madhuri chose a pink and red Anarkali and looked lovely in it. With the gold detailing and sharp colors, glad that she kept the rest of the look sans jewellery.Talk about being graceful!

Sonakshi on the other hand, disappointed in a Fuchsia sari and a blingy brocade blouse. I get that she wanted to go traditional - can't believe that with so many options out there, she chose an ensemble so OTT. Not excited about the drape, colors on the blouse, hair or the nails either!

LOOKS THAT MADE US SWOON THIS WEEK ...

A week full of amazing fashion, celebs across the globes kept us busy with swish stylish looks. What better way to roll out Oscar red carpet!

Jennifer Aniston looks like she is having fun in this Nina Ricci LBD with shoulder details, sheer hose and her trade mark gleaming locks. Beautiful.

Michelle Williams is super adorable in Loius Vuitton fuschia dress with a conservative silhouette and peek - a - boo neckline.

Lauren Conrad is doing downtown chic in studded booties, leather leggings and tailored jacket.

Looking like a modern day goddess is Diane Kruger, in a flowing gown with gold ropes and chain beading links. Complimenting gold details on the dress was the box cutch with gold trimmings.

At the London Fashion Week, Alexa Chung was doing what she does best, standing out in her gamine charming style. Love the neck details and contrast of buff sweater.

Jayma Mays in a brocade dress with plungin neckline and gold waist details perfectly accessorised with gold clutch and black satin pumps. What's not to like?

Malin Akerman is rocking the LWD with an interesting neckline and yellow belt clinched at the waist. Very chic!

On a roll, Ginnifer Goodwin attended a Hollywood do in this Dior LBD rich with textures and trims. She paired the dress with a deep maroon heels and black clutch with braided detailing.

Brooklyn Decker redeemed herself for the last week's fashion faux pas in this bright, spring -welcoming Dolce & Gabbana dress. With the side swept braided hair and orange hue heels, she looks refreshing and pretty. YUM.

The poster girl of modern chic - Kate Moss is rocking the man trend and how! Spotted in grey suit, pink and white layers and a Fedora to accessorise,  she is is ahead of the rest of the fashion frat. BIG LOVE.

WHO WORE IT BETTER? Rosario Dawson vs Zoe Saldana.

Rosario Dawson and Zoe Saldana wore Animal print dresses to the Independent Spirit Awards and its time to see who did more justice to the print.

Zoe Saldana wore a Dolce & Gabbana animal print short dress with lace details, channeling sexy and sweet.
Always one to stamp her individual style on any outfit - Zoe went with cat eye, red lips, loose curls and Orange shoes.

Rosario Dawson walked the carpet in a tiered, leopard print dress. With the design being eye catching as it is, she kept the rest of her look  minimal, neutral shoes and soft make up.

Rosario wins this round for me. Sometimes, less is more.

IN PRINT.... Independent Spirit Awards.

Pulling off prints in style were Sandra Oh and  Eva Mendes. Both went with very different looks and made it work for their personas just the same.

Sandra Oh was bringing sexy in an off shoulder graphic print dress and kept the rest of her look soft; with minimal jewellery, make up and feminine, wavy hair. I like that she paired the dress with black tights, giving it a slight modern twist.

Eva Mendes is stunning in this multicolored, bright printed dress and full bodied hair.
Most celebs would have worn a muted color shoes with the bold dress, but Eva made the look punchier with turquoise blue color heel, and I love it.

At the Independent Spirit Awards, Anne channelled flower charm with natural make up, loose waves and drop earrings. BIG BIG LOVE.

CELEBRITY STYLE - Sonam Kapoor

Bollywood's resident fashionista Sonam Kapoor was spotted in this Grecian goddess - meets spring - dress in Mumbai.

Sonam has an effortless ease with which she carries off her looks and this one is no different. I love the off shoulder dress, the white cuff and the hair. Beautiful!

STYLE FILES - EMMANUELLE ALT

When the Legendary  Carine Roitfled announced her resignation from French Vogue early this year, the fashion web went agog on who will take over from her – and the answer was unanimous almost – The Fabulous Emmanuelle Alt.

For years, I have adored Ms. Alt - the silent, edgy and a very sexy in a non obvious way - shadow of Ms. Roitfeld. A long time fashion favourite and personal style icon for me; I have loved her rock chic, often androgynous, sharp style and what appears to be  innate ‘non –contrived’ fashion persona.

I love that she dresses in simple, non flashy pieces - skinny jeans, cargo pants, jackets, slick boots, accessorised  with accent shoes and stunning bold scarves.

Barely if ever seen in dresses or apparent feminine outfits, Emmanuelle has an unmistaken eye for fit and proportion that upgrade a simple look to grown up grunge and effortless chic.

Allow me to borrow a quote from Emmanuelle Alt,

"Forget trendy designer labels. Jeans, a sweater or a t-shirt worn under a jacket that seems welded to you. When it’s just right, when you don’t see the effort, it’s irresistible."

OH NO! SHE DIDNT!!!

A constant name on every best dressed list, Diane Kruger is killing me with this look and not in a good way.

Opting for High Style and High drama (I'm guessing that's where she was going with this) the dress fail to do anything good for her.

The length is unflattering, the fit of the dress is drowning her Fab figure, the combination of  transparent look and hallf body lining makes the dress unfinished but ultimately, it's those wierd gold patterns on the shoulders that makes this dress spell BAD for me.

How about you?

Must Have(s) - Oversized Watch

An oversized watch can double up as a great statement accessory, if done right it can dress up any outfit.

With many options to choose from (  Many shades of gold, silver or in colors of your choice) the design choice can be simple and streamlined to flashy and embellished or everything in between ; according to your style preference.

Wear the watch alone or stack them along with bangles in same palette or bracelets for a dressed up look.
